Jessica turned to her sister Ashlee and asked "Do you see that guy? Look at his butt! It's so cute!" "Jess, that's Nick Lachey. You know that guy you really want to meet." Ashlee responded.

"That's him?" Jess said in disbelief. "Oh my gah..." Jessica said as she turned her attention back to the concert. Her eyes locked with Nick and she was mesmerized. He was singing 'I Do Cherish You' and she felt as if he were singing to her and there was no one else around. She was brought back to reality when Melanie pulled her away to bring her back stage.

Jessica got ready to go on and then went up to her manager Larry. "Hey, Larry, do you think you can introduce me to Nick Lachey, and I was wondering if maybe you could get him to write some more songs for my album?" Jessica asked him. "Sure, I'll introduce you, and I am sure that if you ask him, he will be more then happy to write some more songs. Let me go and get him, I'll be right back" Larry told her. "Thanks" Jessica said as she was trying to catch her breath. The thought of meeting him face to face was too overwhelming.

Nick just got off the stage. He turned to his brother Drew, "My God, I think I just saw an angel" Nick said. "What?" Drew looked at him puzzled. "That girl out there, she was amazing. Our eyes locked and, and I can't explain it. All I know is that I have to find her." Nick finished saying as Larry came up to him. "Hey, Nick, I have someone that wants to meet you. You remember Jessica Simpson? Well, she's here and would really like to meet you." Larry explained. "Not now, Larry, I do want to meet her, but there is this girl that I need to find." Nick tried to tell him, but Larry persisted so Nick gave in and followed Larry to meet Jessica, all the while he was looking all over for 'his angel.' When suddenly Nick heard his manager say "Nick, this is Jessica" as he turned around, he gasped at what he was seeing.
