Jessica walked through the door into the adjoining room. “Jessie, honey is that you?” Tina called to her daughter.

“Yeah, mom, it‘s me” Jessica said as she followed her mothers voice. “I would like to have a word with you” her father called. Jessica made her way into the sitting room where her parents were. “Jessica, before you say anything” her father started in with. “I‘m not angry, and neither is your mother.” hearing that, Jessica breathed a sigh of relief. “I trust you, and from what I can tell, I can trust Nick to be alone with you. But you tell me if he ever does anything to you, you hear?” he told her. “Just Jessie, next time, come tell us directly, okay?” her mother asked her. “of course, it‘s just I didn‘t plan on spending the night, but I just fell asleep.” she explained. “It‘s just I‘m not comfortable letting you stay in someone else‘s hotel room. I‘m trying to give you more freedom, and I do trust you, it‘s just sometimes it gets hard. You’re growing up so fast” her mother said, nearly in tears. “Oh, mama, I‘m always going to be your daughter even though I‘m getting older. That‘s not going to change our relationship.” Jess comforted her mother and gave her a huge hug. Joe broke the silence, “so, have you eaten?” he asked Jess. “Yeah, actually, Nick ordered room service for the two of us.” she informed them. “What did you get?” her mother asked. “Waffles with chocolate fudge frosting” Jessica called to them as she left the room heading back into her suite as her parents broke out into laughter.

“You what!” Melanie exclaimed as Jessica entered the room. “What are you talking about?” Jessica asked her friend dumbfounded. “He touched you! You let him touch you?” she asked incredulously. “Yes I did.” she replied. “And I don‘t see what the big deal is. It‘s not like your all innocent.” she said, making her point remembering when Mel had lost her virginity. “But, I love Jason, I‘m going to spend the rest of my life with him. I‘ve been with him for years.” Melanie told her. “Just cause he touched me, doesn‘t mean I‘m not a virgin” she said matter of factly. Jessica left the room and headed toward her bed. Ashlee was in the bedroom herself and they started talking for a minute, and Jessica told her how everything had happened the night before. They hadn’t noticed that Melanie had overheard the entire thing until she burst out laughing. “What‘s so funny?” Jessica asked defensively. “Well, it‘s just, well… didn‘t you say that you were going to give up dating until you were old enough to consider marriage? And if I am not mistaken, you said this about a week ago when you broke up with Mark!” Melanie said as Mel and Ash started giggling again. “That lasted long” Ashlee joked. “I guess that‘s the one vow that you‘ll break.” Melanie added. “What are you talking about, I didn‘t break it.” Jessica said knowingly. “Jess, you’re dating him” Ashlee said, pointing out the obvious. “First of all, I was never really dating Mark; I walked out in the middle of our first date. And yeah I‘m dating Nick, but did you forget the last part, I said until I am old enough to think about marriage.” she said, as she begun to wonder what the future may have in hold for her and Nick.
