“I really want to” Jessica smiled back. Nick then got up off of the couch and took Jessica‘s hands to help her up. “Just let me go down to my room to get a couple of things.” she told him. “Sure go ahead.” he told her and then handed her his room key “Let yourself back in.” he told her. He then bent down and placed a kiss on her lips. “I‘ll see you in a few minutes.” she told him before leaving. Jessica walked down to her room that she shared with her sister and her friend. She knocked on the door because she had forgotten her key earlier that day. Melanie opened the door. “There you are!” she exclaimed. “Yeah, I need to get my things” she smiled. “Your things?” Melanie was confused. “Yeah, I‘m going to spend the night in Nicks room.” She told her and Melanie’s eyes widened. “Your what!” Melanie asked in disbelief. “You‘re acting as if I‘ve never done it before.” she told her. “You didn‘t!” Mel practically screamed. “Of course I didn‘t, get your mind out of the gutter Mel, I meant that I have stayed in his room before.” By now, Jess had her bag all packed and headed to her parents room. “I‘ll see you in the morning. Tell Ash that I said hi” she told Melanie before entering her parents room. “Mom, Dad” she called. “In here” her mom called back to her. Jessica entered their bedroom and saw her father on the phone. “We did… that‘s great…. Thank you so much” Joe spoke into the phone before hanging up. Joe turned to Tina and Jess ”Great news, we can move in in three weeks.” he told them. “That‘s awesome!” Jess was ecstatic. The three of them spoke about their soon to be new home and Joe told them all the details. After the conversation had winded down Tina turned to her daughter “Jess, honey, what was it that you wanted?” she asked her. “Oh I just wanted to let you know that I was going to spend the night with Nick” she said nonchalantly. “Over my dead body!” her father screamed enraged.
