Jessica Simpson - Heart of Innocence Posted by jenny Friday, 01 July 2005

“What?” Jessica was astonished. “You heard me” her told her.

“Dad” she spoke “You had no problem the last two times I spent the night with him” she protested. “Yes, but you fell asleep there, this time you want to go there to spend the night.” he explained. “What‘s the difference. I‘ve spent the night with him before, I don‘t see what the difference is.” she said. “Well, why don’t you just go there for a couple of hours and come back tonight, and go see him in the morning. It wouldn‘t be that much different.” Tina suggested. “Yes mom, it would be a lot different. I just really want to spend the night with him in his arms again, I‘ve missed him.” she said getting annoyed. “What did you say?” her dad jumped up from his seat enraged. “What?” she asked him not understanding what he was getting at. “In his arms?” he repeated “I know you‘ve spent the night with him before, but not with him in the same bed.” Joe was yelling. “Jess, have you…slept with him?” she asked fearing the worst. “Yes” Jessica answered not realizing how it could be taken. “My God” her mom gasped clenching her chest. Jessica could see just how angry this got her father. “No, no, not like that” she cleared things up. ”I didn‘t mean it like that. But like we have stayed in the same bed, that was it.” she told her parents. Both Tina and Joe looked at each other not knowing what to say. “And he respects you?” her father asked. “Yes” she answered hoping that Joe would then feel comfortable letting her go. “Okay, fine, you can go.” her father told her feeling he was defeated. “Thanks dad” Jessica said jumping up and giving her dad a big hug. “Bye mom, bye dad. See you tomorrow.” Jessica headed for the door. “Jess, honey” her mom called to get her attention. Jessica turned around “Yeah mom?”. “Do you…love him?” Tina asked and Jessica paused unsure of what to say. She knew that she did, but she was scared to admit it to herself. Should she just come out and admit it, she asked herself. “Jess, do you?” her mother’s voice brought her out of her thoughts. “Yes, I do” she said simply. She turned around and left. “She loves him” Tina repeated to Joe, unable to believe it. “She does” he agreed.
