He loved her, but she was still so young. She wasn’t even legal yet, barely 17, and here he was 22. There was no way that a girl as young as Jessie could understand love, or could she? He was torn. Only two people knew about his true feelings for her. Nick had confided in his brother Drew, and his mother Cate had guessed it right away. Nick took a deep breath trying to prepare himself for what he was about to say. “Jess, baby, I- I…” he couldn’t say it. It wasn’t because he didn’t mean it, because he did. He loved her, from every depth of his soul, he loved her.

Jessica didn’t need him to say it, she could see it all in his eyes. There was her answer, he loved her. “Love you” she completed his sentence for him. At that moment he realized that she felt the same way towards him. His heart practically leaped out of his chest at her words. “I love you” Nick whispered as tears began rolling down both their cheeks. Jessica was so consumed with happiness that she was barely able to speak. “I love you too” she managed to get out. Nick then leaned down and kissed her. This kiss was so different to both of them. This kiss was filled with love. Neither of them held back, they didn’t have to hide their feelings. They both loved each other, and they knew that the other felt the same way. Nick ended the kiss, and they both pulled away breathless. Jessica reached up and put her hand to Nick’s face. “I love you” she mouthed to him, unable to speak with all the emotions running through her. Nick took her hand in his and brought it to his mouth. “I love you baby, I love you so much” her told her, feeling as if he couldn’t say it enough. He had only told her that three times and each time that he told her this, his heart jumped at the thought of what he was telling her. He loved her, and she knew it. He knew that that was something that he wanted to be telling her for the rest of their lives.
