Jessica Simpson - Heart of Innocence Posted by jenny Friday, 01 July 2005

After a few minutes of embracing each other they decided that it was time to head to bed.

“What time is it baby?” she asked him. “It‘s almost 3; we should be getting to bed.” he told her. Jessica got up and Nick followed. Jessica walked down into the basement and then realized that that was were her family was staying. She turned around to face Nick who was coming down the stairs. “Baby, everyone is sleeping down here” she whispered. She pointed for him to head up the stairs. “I kinda forgot about them” she laughed. “I‘ll sleep on the couch out here” he pointed to the couch that they were just sitting on. “No way baby, you‘ll sleep in my room with me. You don‘t think I‘d let you stay in the same house with me and not sleep with me” she blurted out, not realizing what she had said. Nick surprised look made her rethink what she had just said. “Nicholas Scott” she said as she playfully slapped his arm. “Wipe that look off your face, you knew what I meant” she laughed. Nick pulled her into his arms and kissed her “Yeah, I did, but I‘d rather think of it the other way” he told her and she pulled away from him. “Nick” she said in a serious tone. “Ah, baby, I‘m just playing with you. Common now, let‘s get to bed.” Nick said as he picked her up and carried her up to her room.

Jessica went into the bathroom to change for bed while Nick stripped down to his boxers in the room. Jessica entered her room and went to sit on her full size bed. Nick sat down on the opposite side of her bed. “Does it matter what side I sleep on?” he asked half jokingly. “You act like we‘ve never spent the night together” she laughed. “I really could care less, as long as you‘ve got your arms around me” she smiled. They both laid down and held her to his chest as they both drifted off to sleep.

Around 5 am Jessica was awoken by a loud banging noise followed by her dog’s barks. “Nick, baby, what the hell was that” she woke him up and asked him. “What?” he asked, still half asleep. “That” she told him as she heard the noise again. Nick shot straight up out of bed. “Stay here, I‘ll check it out” Nick told her leaving the room. Jessica couldn’t help but giggle a bit, although she was very scared, she realized that they acting just as if they were married, with one exception of course.

Nick crept quietly down the stairs. On the way down, he ran into Joe. “Was that you making that noise?” Nick asked him, hoping that was all it was. “No, I was trying to figure that out myself.” Joe told him. They both continued their way down and heard the noise coming from up front. Nick went up to the front door and looked out the glass. “it’s those dang raccoons” Nick muttered. Nick began to turn around as something caught his eye. “Wait a minute” he spoke in a fearful tone. Joe came up behind him. “What” Joe asked with a growing concern. “Look over there” Nick said pointing towards some trees. It was dark and all you could see was a man’s figure, but they knew who it was.
